A fantastic combination of hiking, sightseeing, and the serenity of the nearby beach. There are lots of inter winding paths in case you need to back track. The maps at each trail intersection make the park look larger than it is. You can walk the whole park in about two hours.
Beautiful trail. I would say most of the beach trail is accessible to disabled. There are sections where small tree roots poke above ground, but I think they can be avoided mostly. The back quarter of the beach trail is not accessible because the trail turns to sand.
If you walk 1.5 miles along the well-organized trail, you can go to the beach.
It is fantastic view while you reach at beach side . Few trails courses can choose and guarantee that you will make best shot the view easier . …
My husband and I loved this trail. We went early on a Sunday morning in late July before the crowds arrived. It was a windy day and we thought this would be a good place to escape the 20mph wind. We were right! …
Free state park Natural Area with beautiful trails containing shortcuts throughout for a quicker trek. The back half (ocean side) of the trail is a soft sandy trail but the other segments are more compressed and easy to walk. Plenty of …
A quiet, we’ll-maintained preserved with several different trails. We took the beach trail which still gave us great views of the estuary.
A bit of wetlands, a wonderful path through the woods, and a white sandy beach all pack into a small east loop. My partner and I had soluch a great time exploring the wildlife and lounging on the beach.
Absolutely lovely trails. Great hikes for kids and those who cannot complete a strenuous hike. Be warned though - there are ZERO trail signs within the park. Take a photo if the map located in the parking lot before you head out. We …
Great place to park and go for a long Walk through the woods
I had no idea what to expect from this place and from the road it kinda looks like just a rest stop. It's so big!! You walk out on a dyke and through, the woods to the beach, if desired, and back around. Plenty of space, most parts are dog friendly and stunning views. So much more than it appears at first.
